Education sharing session without “blocking” part II

Education sharing session without “blocking” part II

Tiffany – Art Appreciation

Watch the painting for 10 minutes, cultivate the blue ocean eagle eye that will not be replaced by AI

See more Art, Seed more Smart

Art should not be an ethereal term; art appreciation should not just be a museum punch card concept for a visit.
In the second half of the tea party, Teacher Tiffany made a perfect interpretation!
While children of all ages were enjoying the live food, Teacher Tiffany began to introduce SeeMoreArt,
which she founded. In fact, Teacher Tiffany is often misunderstood as an art teacher
(just like when I was in the early days, many parents thought I was teaching English/Russian….XD)
But the distance between art and art is like the concept of watching a movie and making a movie .
You can love watching movies, but you don’t have to be a director
(you can get romantic fantasies from movies…but there may be no O’Dad in reality….XD…sorry, digress…. )

There has been a big news in the past two days. The Korean chess king Lee Sedol announced his retirement because he said,
“Even if I become the world’s No. 1, there is someone I can’t beat.”
In 2016, representing human beings and DeepMind AI AlphaGo, the third year after the defeat ,
Humans admit defeat… Go, which requires deep thinking,
not to mention that ordinary jobs will be eliminated by AI at the front line!
So even Jack Ma couldn’t help but say: “In the past, art can’t be eaten, and in the future,
if you don’t understand art, you won’t be able to eat!”
The art here does not refer to the ability to paint, but the eye-brain chain in the process of appreciating art.
The knot activates the thinking power generated by the brain!

Teacher Tiffany gave another example, let’s subvert the stereotype of “art”!
There was a Jack Ma in 2019, and there was a “Manet” in France in 1863.
The latter innovated the “salon of the losers”. The painting “Lunch on the Grass”
that you and I have seen today is the best example.
The two “Mr. Ma” have one thing in common,
that is to jump out of the red ocean of fierce competition and open up a new blue ocean with no competition.
So who says art has nothing to do with business?
Art appreciation trains a keen eye! What’s more,
the transaction of high-end business often depends on the communication on art-related occasions!

In conjunction with the exhibition of the [Cat Art Museum] in Kaohsiung,
the famous paintings of “Le” led by Mr. Tiffany will also be performed in Kaohsiung on 1/12 (Sunday).
Sibo has a “Famous Painting Detective” class every month, with different teachers
(in March, Lara will cooperate to introduce France and Italy~)
Find clues from a painting and learn about people, places, times and things.
From an artistic point of view, cultivating future leaders requires an eagle-like vision and a keenness to see the blue ocean!

Tao Jie – Thinking about Future Issues
The shortcut to the future is your point of view on the issue

Teacher Tao threw a few questions, and the parents present also discussed enthusiastically,
such as: Should robots be taxed? Now that robots will displace many existing jobs,
it will ultimately hit governments’ tax revenues. Without personal income tax, how does the government work?
This is really a question I haven’t thought about….
Throw it out and start learning how to think logically, discuss and speculate.
Not every question will be answered, but if you don’t start practicing this thinking ability,
many questions will never be answered….
In 2020, Mr. Tao expects to start planning experiments in addition to the thinking camp led by Aisibo.
The school’s plan, since we can’t get into the system,
we will run a good education ourselves! I’m looking forward to it~

Lara often shared with others that the current education system is a product of the first industrial revolution.
At that time, the United Kingdom needed a large number of workers to repeat consistent mechanical behaviors,
so it needed people who were disciplined, obedient, disciplined, and single-minded,
so no matter the decoration of the classroom or the way of teaching, they probably followed this principle.
However, in the 21st century, this system is no longer enough to use.
We only need to write a program and copy and paste it into the robot’s memory to complete this model….
There is a series called West World in the United States.
When robots begin to have ideas and plan a post-reactionary world…
Even robots know to have their own ideas, so what about us humans? !

STEAM Lab – Programming Computational Thinking

In a learning environment where there are no right answers

Cultivate cross-disciplinary thinking from a technology perspective

Since my son was four years old, I have been paying attention to courses related to Steam.
Coding programming, which has been super popular since the first two years,
is also on my pocket list. Finally, when he turned six years old, he could take some robotics courses.
After taking it a few times, I couldn’t help but feel a little lost…
In many experience courses, what I saw was only a combination of teaching materials.
In a few chats with teachers, I also found their helplessness.
In fact, the concept of programming requires long-term understanding and habits.
It is difficult to teach such an interest class from scratch,
because parents usually want to see some “finished products” after each class. really!
Our own “programming” starts from knowing the hardware.
What are the functions of CPU, memory, chassis… Because if you don’t even know the tools (hardware),
how can you expect the textbooks (software) to be written in the future to play the best role in each part? ?
Russian hackers are famous all over the world. They don’t have the most advanced computers.
Even in the forests of Siberia, the resources they can get may be obsolete computers,
but they write software that conquers the world one after another: Russia Block games, Kaspersky Antivirus…and more.
It is because of learning from the most fundamental, not the result of piecing together.

Teacher Maggie gave everyone a plate of green clay and toothpicks,
and asked everyone to use their hands and brains together to make a “sturdy house”.
Everyone is trying and finding the answer again and again.

So when I saw this class where Sting Lab took my kids to Guanghua mall to learn about parts,
I immediately paid for it! Teacher Maggie from SteamLab shared their curriculum planning,
hoping that children can learn at the right age, and the hands and brains of different ages have different learning stages,
starting from the initial hands-on and becoming a small Maker step by step The language of cultivating computers
“Computational Thinking”, the ultimate goal is to use it to solve problems in life! Did you see the bright spot?
The goal of learning is to solve cross-domain problems, not to learn to program! Is it the same as school exams?
Do you want to learn to score 100 points in the primary exam,
or do you want your child to learn skills that can be used after leaving school in the future?”

On 12/7 (this Saturday), there will be a #OneHourCoding
event at the Aisibo Education Center in response to the US Department of Science
and Technology Education’s #OneHourCoding event.
Sting Lab hopes to promote Sting’s spirit to everyone, welcome to participate! In addition,
Lara is also currently discussing with Mr. Maggie,
and will work together in 2020 to lead the children of all ages, combining technology and culture,
to understand the world of the past in the way of the future! Please look forward to it~
(Lara’s own super-expected XDDD)

After writing these two articles, I am very moved…
I see that many people are working hard on the road of education.
A big thank you to Michelle, the founder of the platform,
for supporting this idea, giving us the opportunity to come together, as the saying goes.
I am also very grateful to these lecturers for trusting Lara.
After I put forward ideas with them, they supported me without a word! We will also work hard to brainstorm,
provide more cross-domain learning courses, and share more educational concepts that are not “blocked”!
